POV alternative
POV alternative without an app
If you like POV but don’t want guests to install an app, use a browser-based guest gallery such as Guest Pictures, Knipsmig or Kululu – or Lense, which also runs its disposable camera in the browser. Unlike POV, Guest Pictures has one price regardless of guest count (unlimited photos for €29.99 once) and accepts photos guests already took with their normal camera.
POV is a disposable-camera app: guests take a limited number of photos inside the app or an iOS App Clip, and the pictures are revealed later. It is priced by guest count – free up to 10 guests, $34.99 for 100, $89.99 for 250 – and rated 4.9 from more than 15,000 ratings in the US App Store.
We make Guest Pictures – this comparison is written by us. POV details come from pov.camera and its App Store listing, checked on 6 October 2026 (sources at the end). Corrections are welcome via our contact page.

When POV is the better choice
- You want the disposable-camera ritual: a limited number of shots and a delayed reveal.
- Your event is small – up to 10 guests are free.
- You want a photo book of the result.
- Most of your guests use iPhones – the App Clip opens without a full app install.
- You want business features with your branding (a paid add-on).
When Guest Pictures is the better choice
- Guests should use only their browser – no app, no App Clip, no account.
- Guests should be able to share the photos they already took with their normal camera – POV does not accept uploads from the camera roll.
- Your guest list is long: one price for unlimited photos (€29.99 once), whatever the number of guests – POV charges $89.99 for 250 guests.
- Guests see the pages in their language: English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
- Any guest can pay for the unlock, and photo missions per event template, a live slideshow and an event photo booth are included.
A disposable camera in the browser?
Guest Pictures does not have a disposable-camera mode yet. If limited shots and a delayed reveal are what you want – without an app – Lense offers its camera in the browser as well as in its app (free up to 7 guests, €39.99 for 100 guests).
