Best guest photo sharing apps in 2026
The best guest photo sharing app depends on what matters most: if guests should upload without installing an app or creating an account, a browser-based QR gallery such as Guest Pictures, Knipsmig, Kululu, GuestPix or Wedibox is the simplest choice, while POV and Lense lead for a disposable-camera feel. Knipsmig has the most generous free tier (unlimited photos and videos for one month), WedShoots is free but needs an app and a guest account, and GuestCam supports the most guest languages (17).
Below you will find quick picks by need, one table with prices and limits for ten services, and a short, fair note on each – including the cases where we are not the best fit.
We make Guest Pictures – this comparison is written by us. Every competitor detail comes from the vendor’s own pages or App Store listing, checked on 6 October 2026 (sources at the end). Corrections are welcome via our contact page.

How we compared
We looked at what decides whether guests actually share their photos, and what you pay: the price for one event, what the free tier allows, how long photos are kept, whether guests must install an app or create an account, which languages guests see, and whether video is supported.
All competitor details come from each vendor’s own pricing page or App Store listing, read on 6 October 2026. We did not run a test event with every service, so anything those pages did not state is marked “Not verified” instead of guessed.

App-based cameras and disposable-camera apps
- POV: the best-known disposable-camera app, rated 4.9 from more than 15,000 ratings in the US App Store. Priced by guest count – free up to 10 guests, $34.99 for 100, $89.99 for 250. Guests shoot inside the app or an iOS App Clip; uploading from the camera roll is not supported.
- Lense: disposable camera with film effects, in the app or the browser, and camera-roll uploads are possible. Free up to 7 guests, €39.99 for 100 guests; unlimited shots (+€11.99) and video (+€9.99) are add-ons. Photos are kept for a year, with a money-back guarantee.
- WedShoots: free with no photo limit, run by The Knot Worldwide and promoted to couples on bodas.net, mariages.net and matrimonio.com. Guests need the app and an account; recent App Store reviews repeatedly mention that requirement and a 30-second video limit. More on our WedShoots alternative page.
Free do-it-yourself options
Shared albums in Google Photos or iCloud and a WhatsApp group cost nothing and work well for small groups. With iOS 27 and macOS 27, iCloud shared albums also accept contributions from the web without an Apple Account, for up to 100 participants. What they lack are the event extras: QR table cards, a live slideshow on the venue screen, and photo missions.
The Guest, The Knot’s former guest photo app, has been discontinued – new downloads ended in June 2024. Our page on alternatives to The Guest compares the options.
When another service is the better choice
- You want video uploads: Knipsmig, GuestCam, WedShoots, Lense (add-on) or Fotify Premium. Guest Pictures is photos only for now.
- You want to keep photos for years or forever: Knipsmig Keepsake (forever), Wedibox All-in-One (2 years), GuestPix (up to 24 months).

- You want a free start without a guest limit: every event includes free photos, and there is no cap on the number of guests.

- You want the party extras: photo missions per event template, a live slideshow for the TV or projector, an event photo booth and printable QR table cards.
- You prefer photos to be deleted automatically: free albums: 30 days after the event; unlocked albums: 12 months.
