WedShoots is the free wedding photo app of The Knot Worldwide, recommended to couples on bodas.net, mariages.net and matrimonio.com and rated 4.7 from more than 75,000 ratings in the French App Store alone. The sign-up step for guests is a recurring complaint in recent reviews.

What WedShoots does well – and where guests struggle
WedShoots costs nothing and has no photo limit. Guests can like, comment on and download photos, and couples who plan with bodas.net, mariages.net or matrimonio.com find it next to the tools they already use.
It is an app, though: guests install WedShoots and create an account before they can upload. Recurring themes in recent App Store reviews from France, Spain and Italy are that step, a 30-second limit on videos, reduced image quality and guests who could not get into the album.
When WedShoots is the better choice
- You want a completely free album with no photo limit.
- You already plan with bodas.net, mariages.net or matrimonio.com and want everything in one place.
- Your guests are used to apps and don’t mind creating an account.
- You want guests to upload short videos – Guest Pictures is photos only for now.
- You want likes and comments on photos inside the app.
When Guest Pictures is the better choice
- Guests should upload without installing an app or creating an account – they scan the QR code and the album opens in the browser.
- Guests see the upload page in their language: English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
- You want a live slideshow on the venue screen, photo missions for the tables, an event photo booth and printable QR table cards.
- It starts free, with free photos included; if the party wants more, the host or any guest can unlock unlimited photos for €29.99 once.
- Photos are deleted automatically – free albums: 30 days after the event; unlocked albums: 12 months.
Switching from WedShoots
There is nothing to migrate. Create a free event, download the QR code and print it on table cards or the welcome sign. If invitations with a WedShoots code are already out, put the new QR code at the venue and tell guests in one sentence which album to use – one album keeps all photos together.
